BFSG as a 3-minute explainer video

The BFSG (German Accessibility Strengthening Act) has been in effect since June 29. What companies now need to know about digital accessibility.

BFSG in 3 Minuten Erklaervideo

Since Saturday it is official: the German Accessibility Strengthening Act, BFSG for short, is in effect. And with that, a new chapter begins for digital accessibility in Germany.

In a short 3-minute video, we summarized what you should know about the law. Where does the BFSG come from? Who benefits from it? And what does it mean in concrete terms for companies?

The BFSG is not a footnote, it is a real milestone. From now on it applies to all companies that offer digital products or services. That means websites, apps, terminals, e-commerce platforms, and much more. The goal is more digital participation and fewer barriers.

What is particularly important: the law is not a "nice to have", it is a binding framework with clear deadlines and tangible consequences. At the same time it is a great opportunity. Anyone who embraces accessible offerings early makes their products not only more inclusive, but often also more user-friendly for everyone.
